Hi @dwitchell. I'm very pleased to see you here. Great question. Our thinking behind the Friends & Noise tabs is rather simple-minded. Friends is for the people and things we care about most, hence the large images and list view offering an easy way to focus and digest content. Noise is for everything else. The intention behind the dynamic fluid grid of the Noise view is to offer a path to quick inspiration and to provide a way to take a sort of overview of all of the interesting things happening around you, but that aren't necessarily as important to you as those things being done by the people you care about most. Both views are works in progress, but that's the foundation of our thinking.
Oh, the people that you're following will know that they're being followed by you, they just won't know what category you're following them in. And, you can drag and drop between the Friends & Noise tabs. Sometimes a Friend might get a bit Noisy. This feature is still a bit buggy, but we're getting there.
"Shift + 5" toggles the list to the grid, and the grid to the list. We're still sorting it all out. What do you think?
