The theater is in the style of Nordic classicism, also called Swedish grace or 1920s classicism, wich blossomed in the Nordic countries c. 1910-1930.
Skandia is one of the last single cinema theaters in the Nordic countries. From 1968 to 1991 Skandia was called Look. Skandia was restored 2001 and is still a working single cinema theater and more.
