Alvar Aalto (1957-1961) Ernst Sundh or Ernst Sundh center (sometimes the blue house, the aalto-house or "blåstället" - blue overalls, Avesta had an early foundry and a copper mine since 1636) Kungsgatan 2, Avesta, Dalarna (Dalecarlia) Sweden.
Around 2003 the building had ended up abused and was derelicted. The duplex apartment of Ernst Sundh 1911-unknown & Brita Sundh (née Forsell) 1909-unknown did not extist anymore. The ceramic tiles with blue glaze of the facade was falling down.
New tiles have been bespoke by Arabia in Helsingfors and the Sundh duplex apartment have been rebuilt and the building restored by architect Anders Bexelius and the new owner Stefan Sundh with family.
