I'm selling my antique, 100 year old grotesque. It was created as part of the 1915 Pan Pacific World Fair Exposition, in San Francisco. I purchased this at an antique shop on the Pacific Mall in Santa Cruz, California, in 1988. The shop owner had papers for its documentation, but they seem to have been lost in the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake.
Nicknamed "Giacomo", this piece had a female companion, with a classical, Roman Diana head. They both had mouths created to spout water. I only bought the one, and have no idea if the female head survived the massive earthquake.
A very rare piece, possibly the only one left in the world. I'm asking $500 for it. It needs to go to a good home, or a museum setting, or else it stays with me.
Contact me here for inquiries first, I have a store for listing it.
