Handmade "Liberty" dress by Tracy Belben, from finish to start. This dress is part of a larger collection titled TRacy (pronounced Tee-Racy). Each piece is created by hand, by the artist herself. Http://t-racy.com
TOP: Captured by photographer @bostonphotographer, the Liberty dress was shown as the finale look at Tracy's first solo fashion exhibition at the Liberty Hotel in Boston. The event was styled & produced by Kathy Benharris, Grace Goodearl, Billie Francis, Mel Ellard, G2O Spa + Salon, & Kacie Corbelle's team.
MIDDLE: Throughout the process, Tracy Belben, a degreed architect, engineered the dress by making crucial adjustments to assure its weight is comfortable and balanced, that it can be taken on/off with ease, and that it modestly covers and accentuates areas of the human body. This dress was created by continuously linking and un-linking, making and re-making – until it achieved Tracy's desired level of harmonious splendor.
BOTTOM: Each link was fastened by hand into a meticulous pattern that resulted in a mesh, fabric-like substructure.
