My name is Nadya Babich and I make personal art about complex trauma and mental health. Many people think of trauma as "seen the war" type of extreme shock experiences, but the reality is that the vast majority of people have been traumatized to different extents. My art focuses on breaking the stigma around discussing this sensitive topic through creative reflection on my own personal experiences. After all we cannot heal from something if we do not first acknowledge its existence.
