"Today is a stark reminder of the hatred that the LGBT community still faces on a daily basis. Our struggle did not end with the right to marry, and our struggle will not end if we continue to be pacified by such minuscule advancements. There are people in this world who HATE us because of who we love, people who want us to be destroyed because they don't understand us. People who are willing to kill us because they see us kissing or holding hands. We can no longer be scared to stand up and fight back against the bigotry in this world. This battle can't be won on the internet or even in the voting booths, this battle will be won by unification and organization of our community and other oppressed communities. This is who we are, this is what we are facing, it's time to unite and focus on the reality of the world we are living in."
