I apologize for the long wait for Trendy, Classic, & Vintage's next post. The post is about the late designers Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent. Part of the reason I have been taking my time is due to the legacy of these two designers...However, more personally, emotionally writing about these two designers hits close to home. Yves Saint Laurent passed away from cancer, a disease too many of us know all to well, and nearly all of us been affected by. In the case of McQueen's passing, I find it challenging to write about him at times. I admire his work and accomplishments, and ultimately want to produce a great piece about his work. As someone who has suffered from depression, in the past, I am particularly sensitive to how he passed. At times I have to pause and keep my emotions on par. As a professional it can sometimes seem unprofessional to get emotional. However, when it comes to a subject like this...the loss of such a great talent, and from what I can gather from interviews with those who personally knew him, great person as well, it is hard not to feel emotionally connected to this topic. I am not quite done this piece, but I promise that when it is published, I will have given it my all.
