allow decals to dry properly - now select a "safe" clear-coat. This can be tricky - here's why: the #prototype is painted in acrylic, HOWEVER, the decals are water-slide, meaning that they are sensitive to enamel or #acrylic based solutions...
ok... an acrylic based clear coat will protect the paint job but cause the decals to go transparent (at least the whites) whereas a water based finish will save the decals but leave the model forever tacky (this sucks, unless you want a finger-print gummed sample of 1 month's worth of labor)... enamel/oil based is right out.
