these kids are arguing about the kim k and taylor beef and i cannot believe how many are in favor of the dusty musty
VAMUN XXXVI is going strong, which is good because the conference hasn't even started yet but all these high schoolers rolled through to our delegate training meeting so I'm a fan of the extra I'll be real. It has been a pain in the neck to get this thing rolling. Unnecessarily long meetings, high tensions, tight nerves, etc - it got ugly real quick. It's nice to see it all come together, though. I thought I didn't give a damn about high-school-age people (people are great from birth to 4, then from 20 and upwards), but seeing them happy and energetic about arguing about fake news and resurrecting armies to destroy each other brings me some holiday cheer.
In other news, I just found this form I was meant to fill out like... two weeks ago... on a website for my study abroad. Originally I couldn't find it and was kind of hoping that the International Studies Office would just forget about it (which I realize is how I face a lot of my problems - ignore them until either they erupt into something that I physically cannot ignore - unlikely - or until they just go away. If I were faced with a volcano erupting in front of me, spewing mad lava all over the place and crushing homes left and right, I'd probably just turn my back and wish really really really hard that it wasn't happening). So this form has been a source of some latent anxiety. I can't go on Semester at Sea without turning it in, so the ISO has been riding my dick about which just compounds the stress and makes me want to address it even LESS this vicious cycle just has no END. anyway: happy days, I found it.
