Mr. March was an ass. Maybe he was ex-military, or maybe he just liked to humiliate kids. Either way, it was horrible the way he treated his students. Lining up, silently, to file into the classroom. Not being able to be a kid, in a kids world. I hated him from the first day of class. After finally having enough of him, I went to my counselor and told her how unhappy I was in his class. I cried a lot too. However it went, I was able to convince her to send me back to Mrs. Moskivitz’s class. She had gotten married over the summer vacation so she had a new name, and she was as beautiful as ever. She treated me with respect. I was only 8, but respect meant something to me and I was grateful for it. I find it odd that I was able to get back into her class, I mean, what did I say to the counselor to convince her? Wouldn’t all the kids in Mr. March’s class have the same story? Was I the only one to complain?
