The idea of this photoproject is to break the beauty standards that the society has set for us and to start embracing our pure selves.
I wanted other people with acne to see those photos and know that they are not alone with their (so-called) ''flaws".
Furthermore i wanted to help them letting go their fear of being judged because they don't cover up their skin.
People around us, media and advertising tend to reduce us on our acne and make us feel bad having skin that "doesn't fit" the ideals - creating insecurities, selfhatred and a lack of self acceptance towards humans.
Especially women live under the pressure to look perfect on the outside.
But we are more than a skin, more than a face, more than a body.
Our beauty comes from within.
I'm a 21 years old hobby photographer based in Germany. Sick and tired of the expectations the society has towards us I use photography to criticize those.
Sometimes a photo says more than words and especially in the era of digitalization we can reach each other better with sharing pictures worldwide.
