Tumbling when walking up the hill
The stars to see when looking up
Make you see how small
Ideas are that seem so big.
Balls of fur rolled up
Into a fear so big it could fill a castle.
Can one bear all day and night
To live a life without disentanglement.
Separation anxiety excuses the
Process of growing up to stall.
While you wait and drown yourself
Searching for a truth on the bottom
Of a glass once half full.
An empty glass
Only that when it was once filled.
An empty life
Always when it isn’t being filled up
Again, and again
Like the plants in the garden.
They can’t grow when you water them once.
Initiative and movement
To be executed
Gives them a chance to grow more
And higher and wild.
Bring those high expectations down
Only to land in the middle
Between now and the roof.
Shooting for a mountain
Still makes you land higher
Than standing where you are.
When you sink tonight
You had today.
It was a rollercoaster
Going up endless high
But never running down deep in the ground.
Acting out on all those thoughts
Every single day.
Living by the day
With a plan in mind.
But often to just be kind
With a fresh find
Ramping up boundaries
Just to see what climb over
In a rainy tomorrow.
