"Don't let street art die"
Don’t let street art die starts with an unexpected meeting, a crosswalk accident. I got inspired by this useful omnipresent street object when i saw the stripes were accidentally not straight. A few meters later i found this post-it saying «be rebel, don’t let street art die» and i decided to reappropriate this coincidence to my work on the metamorphosis of this trampled material. I decided to sculpt its form and work on its design, as well as transform it as an contemplated object.
This project introduces a reflection about the dimensions of street art and the notion of accident. I tried to discover all the present art forms around us, i.e. the visual ideas auto generated in our streets, elaborated by a system of retranscription, curiosity, and imagination.
