Poubelle is a sculptural work on trash as we find it in the street. It aims to give it a human size, as if its accumulation could make them self-sufficiently stand on its own.
Through this work, we can change our outlook on what lies around us, including garbage, abandoning the negative term of “junk” and trying to find new kind of aestheticism, discovering a new way to contemplate things.
Garbage bags take a form because of human gestures in accordance to what we throw away, what we collect or leave behind. It becomes a unique sculpture by people, clueless to their own sculptural gestures.
