@budnitz wrote a little post about companies on @ello. Basically, as long as they play by the rules they'll be allowed on the platform. The choice to follow them will be your's and your's alone. I personally really dig the ad-free nature of the platform and if I follow companies I love they'll most likely be going into my noise tab, that is unless they're doing something really cool in which case I might add them to my friends list.
I hope businesses and companies treat @ello different and give users the respect they deserve. We are all on equal footing from a user account perspective and we all should participate in the @ello community in a way that fosters genuine and meaningful interaction.
