Welcome to my page. I'm not quite sure what direction this will take just yet. Like the rest of my life, I'm going to allow it to unfold along the way. I'll share my finds (in situ and posed), my collection in general, my creations, and my thoughts. Thanks for stopping by.
Today's first photo is from a find on a blustery day at Mentor Headlands beach, the longest public beach in Ohio. I've learned some tricks when hunting beachglass, one of which is to stop and look before you take your next step. By taking that pause to look around, I spotted this large piece half-hidden under a stone in a typically high-traffic path. What a fantastic find! It's not a perfect heart (my thumb smooths out the line for the pic). But as with beachglass in general, the metaphors for taking something imperfect and making it beautiful are many.
I'll try to keep the cliches to a minimum, but (even at 40+) the angsty teenager in me can't always be refined.
