The Institute of Wellbeing is a new cross-disciplinary initiative in Bangladesh at its early formation stage, which aims to promote the quality research and training in the science of wellbeing.
Our super goal is to improve population health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities in society and promote the philosophy of well-being in the development sector in Bangladesh.

Debra Efroymson has a BA in English from Harvard University and an MS in Population and International Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has lived and worked in Asia (Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka) since 1994, with many years of experience in NGO work throughout Asia, as well as Latin America and Africa. She is the author of many books and articles on economics, gender issues, tobacco control, liveable cities, and transport policies.
