BE A CHARACTER
INT HOTEL BAR
Man sits at a dark, polished bar spinning his Old Fashioned. The colors swirl around the dark red of the cherry.
A women enters. She's gorgeous in a cocktail dress that says she's looking for somewhere to go. Tattoos dance playfully up her arm. They match the spark in her eye.
She sits at the bar. Close enough so he knows she wants to talk. But it doesn't happen for a long moment: she orders, dirty gin martini; fixes her hair as the man notices her from the corner of his eye; the bartender dips the martini glass into ice as he shakes her drink; condensation drips from the shaker as he pours.
She looks at him. Waiting for the first word. He takes a drink and turns toward her.
'Do you believe in space?'
'The idea that there's something greater than us out there and that it's our duty to discover it.'
She searches for the answer she already knows. She turns and looks him dead in the eye.
'We were born to explore. '
