"... I'll never die young, I'll never grow old, I won't be that lucky guy ..." The average idiot might ask, "Are you contemplating suicide?" And my average response would be "Fuck You!". The truth is, most of the people who ask this question don't really care whether you live or die. These people are usually the ones who are getting paid to help people in crisis. Isn't it ironic? What I was thinking when I wrote this song is nobody's business. Of course, the lyrics could lend themselves to one of four types of individuals:
• Someone having suicidal thoughts
• Someone who is terminally ill
• A person on death row
• A person who anticipates that they will eventually be murdered
Considering that there are elements in the United States government that routinely murder citizens who they consider a threat to the status quo, the 4th possibility may apply to my life ... and it may not. Suffice it to say that if I should end dead before my time... I am making it a matter of public record that I did "not" kill myself. If you fit one of the four categories then this can be your anthem, and perhaps give you some comfort during your final days. Misery loves company ... and so I am your friend. Will you be mine?
