Recently, I came across the Lauren Singer's blog about living her "zero waste life". It's pretty amazing how little has to be done to lower the waste production in our daily lives. Most of it feels even more natural than our traditional "plastic-o-cratic" way of using things. I'm definitely on it; starting now!
As per Lauren's valid insights, it is crucial to understand what trash we were producing, and what we could do about it. Secondly, it is also very important to understand the motivation behind. I'm gonna need some answers here...
First step, EVALUATION:
- What's the biggest producer of trash (food, hygiene, clothing, electronics, ...)?
- What are the products I usually buy that produce significant amount of plastic trash, which could be easily replaced by recyclable one (or none) ?
- Do I really want to do all this? If so, why?
