Yves Papageno (@yvespapageno)
Born in Reims, France, May 20 1959
Yves Papageno has been soaked in an artistic environment since his earliest childhood. His mother, a woman of letters and amateur art, offers him his first camera at the age of ten and enrolled at the School of Fine Arts in Reims .
Since then, his view sharpens on people and things which surround him.
“Photography does not betray reality, it opens the doors of unspeakable, offers the possibility of expressing enjoyment, pain and most intimate thoughts. It is game or violence, elegance or tearing. A universal language, as an evidence.”

Curation. A conceptual project about mixing up unrelated/randomized items to evolving in a formal structure, resulting in a piece of art in itself. Sounds like elitist bullshit ? Yeah sure, it is: it's ART bro!

NSFW ! Born in the mid sixties, I have never been interested in the style displayed in too many magazines and books, so empty, contrived, pretentious and vain. To me, the model is the most important element to work with. Whether the model be a face or a frontage. Because those are my main focus: people and their buildings.
Taking pictures has always been a funny thing to do to me. I have done that since I’m 6 or 7. But never seriously. I mean it has never been my main activity. I guess it’s why I have always felt so free about it. Free to shoot with my digital cameras as well as with my old film camera. Or my Polaroid 100. Or my iPhone.
Experession of the natural body. Normalising nudity to encourage body confidence and dispel the sexualisation of being naked.
