Enjoy a little school project...
What comes before and after the storm is the only thing worth holding onto. Find yourself at home and find yourself away. They are not the same, although they are all true. Use your own words - verbatim.
Her story in five parts, the words follow musical changes. Agree or disagree, read all at once, they're her words. It doesn't matter. They're still hers, however you feel - verbatim.
(0:00) Earth, her home:
Birds fly silently through the air. You can’t hear them, and neither can she. She does hear the water run gently. The water stops when she becomes dissatisfied. She uncovers her anger and unhappiness with the world, and explains so in her own words. No translation - verbatim.
She tells her mother, her dress waving in the wind, why the world doesn’t need her here, and how she will leave, without listening to hear her mother’s response, or wisdom. It is time to find something better... she reassures herself that she knows best.
(0:40) Unhappiness: A desire for other, in her own words. No translation. Verbatim.
It takes a long time to find love,
Strong earth deep below, stars above.
Wind whistling through the dark trees,
Down forest paths, following leaves.
Earth always sits between the stars,
Slow paced winds, fast moving cars.
Surrounded by others hiding scars,
Mens long coats, dark hats, cigars.
Don’t know why were hiding but it’s hard.
Still out here looking in the dark.
I’m not afraid of Night Encounters. (x4)
(a crash, an explosion, a disturbance) reverberates
(3:24) Ascent to the skies:
As a disturbance reverberates, she sees her opportunity to run away. She takes a deep breath, and flies into the unknown, searching for something different. Something better.
She travels for light years through the skies, and finally, deep in space, she finds someone else, maybe the aliens. She adopts into their family, hoping that this is what she has always been searching for.
(4:30) the Other World:
With the Other World in her hands and Earth far behind, she realizes the Other World is nothing like what she wanted. The aliens are disappointing, and provide nothing but a feeling of odd distaste and cold dissatisfaction. Determined to return home to her mother and the warm Earth, she turns and runs, hoping desperately to get back home, and leaving the Other World far behind. She is not followed or pursued, but instead, left to find Earth herself.
(5:45) Returning Home:
When she finally arrives at Earth, her home, she sees it in a new light. From above the clouds, the sun shines brightly down onto sparkling blue rivers, that carve through green trees. She takes the deep breath she realizes she was still holding, and jumps, falling slowly and carefully to her mother, her dress blowing in the wind. She is satisfied so the water comes back. She finds the truth of what she was always searching for. Her own words, in herself. What she truly wishes to say.
