A voice that is a grain of sand blowing across the dunes
The finest art transcends politics, churches, or platforms--it enhances the experience of the viewer from any angle, and accentuates a pathetic humanism in even the subtlest forms. Art has the power, when expressed from a place of pathos and compassion (in a broad sense) that ignores the vapid personal present, and abhors (albeit passively) the pedantic in human nature--unless it counterposes it against a higher, nobler form.
To relegate high art to mere posteriszation, or to elevate the insipid and aggressive through paragraphs is as much a departure from the truth as to actively seek out art which only confirms one's held prejudices. For this reason I congratulate organizations who help to broaden our experience; but I would admonish them, albeit gently, to not alienate their audience through momentarily truthful paragraphs--in lieu of providing a venue for growth, for understanding, and for the eventual betterment of everyone.
