I loved Dear White People. The best way I can describe it: It's like a group of sociology majors got together with some film school kids to make the flick they wanted to see. It's a little uneven, some things land, and some don't, but the social/racial/class stuff in this movie is beyond excellent.
It makes my heart happy that there are people making movies like this, and, presumably, an audience that is there to watch it. I can't wait to see what Justin Simien does next.
